Home for the Blind
The Government of Liberia has donated a parcel of land to the community of the blind. Well Done Organization is building a 13 room house with a well, latrine and kitchen area to accommodate the blind. Additionally, there will be a workshop area where the residents can carry out tasks that can help support themselves.
Construction on the home began early in the summer of 2011. As of October, we’ve reached the roof level of Phase I (five of the 13 rooms). Once complete, the home will accommodate 38+ members of the Liberian Christian Association of the Blind (LCAB). Please help us build this home and ‘Commit-A-Brick‘ toward this home. Each cement block costs only ยข.50.
